About Knock Airport

Ireland West Airport is an important tranport hub for the West of Ireland and connects the counties of Mayo, Roscommon, Leitrim and Douth Sligo with air routes to Dublin, London and mainland Europe. It was opened on 20th May 1986 after a campaign by Monsignor James Horan to provide an airport to service the wider community of the West and Northwest of Ireland.
The airport services direct flights to the rest of Ireland and the UK. It also provides chartered flights to numerous destinations throughout Europe. Ryanair, Aer Arann and BMI Baby all fly out of and into Knock airport. Aer Lingus also fly to London Gatwick. If you are travelling from Knock airport, the Park Hotel Mayo is a great place to start your journey. A shuttle is provided for all guests who aer staying the night and parking there for the duration of their journey or even if you just wish to park with out staying the the night.
